Intuition and the Origin of Meaning:
I examine subjects dealing with spirituality, science, human development, and aesthetic affect through arrangement and manipulation of pre-existing imagery. It is my intent to explore the world, both seen and unseen, through these honest and direct means. My process and product are both intimately related, as they intuitively work together to construct these systems. Meaning gives rise to material, and vice versa.
Wunderkammer:
I use collections of found objects, re-occurring images, and arrangements of common materials, objects, and symbols, complete with their implicit meaning, to create new meaning and narrative based on free association by the viewer. My work pairs raw material with the human element, focusing on the instant of transformation (through interpretation) by the viewer.
